On the Inguri river, a natural border between Georgia and Abkhazia, fertile land strips appear and disappear at the whim of the seasons. An old Abkhazian man and his granddaughter grow maize on one of this ephemeral island. The intense relationship they have with nature is disturbed by border patrols.
