From short to long

The section From Short To Long is a section from the Festival which strives to encourage a young director’s passage to directing a first feature-length film after having made short films. This year, we are delighted to welcome Paul Negoescu who will present five of his short films and A Month in Thailand, his first feature film, portrait of the contemporary Romanian youth.

Paul Negoescu

Born in 1984 in Bucharest, Paul Negoescu graduated from film directing at the National University of Film and Drama in 2007. He directed several short films. His last short Horizon (2012), was in our short film Competition last year. His previous films Derby (2010) and Renovation (2009) were selected in over 270 film festivals and won 30 awards. A Month in Thailand (2012) is his debut feature film. Paul Negoescu is also the founder and the artistic director of the Timishort Film Festival. He also runs a local production company that produces independent short films and animations.
